Long story short: I've applied to play in another LJ RP called Damned--and this was a contest submission for the game. Specifically it's an illustration out of this thread: [link]

I had a good 20 hours into this thing (it's HUGE compared to my normal size work, you can download the original for detail). The biggest thing I was concentrating on this time was trying to soften out the lines so that they weren't... inherently OBVIOUS outlines like what I normally have. I was also trying very hard to make the Japanese characters actually LOOK Japanese rather than just carrying over the manga style.
